Conference PETrA Prague 2011


1st Scientific Conference PETrA 2011 (Pollution and Environment - Treatment of Air), organized by Odour, Ltd with the cooperation of the Czech Society of Chemical Engineering (CSCHE) and the Czech-Arab Chamber of Commerce, took place in May 17th - 20th, Prague, Czech Republic.

The event was held under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of the Environment, Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade and Association of Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic and was dedicated to the protection of the global climate. It aimed to focus experts from around the world on introducing the latest scientific and practical knowledge in the matter and to exchange experiences in an effort to find mutual ways to collaborate. The conference was intended for researchers and the wider public concerned about the given issue.

Best Presentation Award went to Prof. Jacek Koziel, Iowa State University, USA, for his paper titled Simultaneous chemical and sensory analysis of odor.

Best Poster Award won Krzysztof Brodzik a Joana Faber, BOSMAL, Poland.

We would like to thank all participants for coming and also for their feedback, which will help us improve the second year of the conference planned for 2013.
